About MEDITATION
Meditation
Meditation is a process of quieting your mind and expanding your awareness. It’s an act of self-discovery and self-love. When we meditate, we get in touch with the deepest part of ourselves. Meditation is a process of silencing our thoughts. When we silence our thoughts, we open space to discover the infinite intelligence that lies underneath the layer of chatter that constantly runs in the background of our minds. This infinite intelligence is in all of us.
It is a practice that is transformational, essential, and revolutionary.
When we sit in meditation, we slow down, relax, separate ourselves from our thoughts and become conscious of our true being. The more we meditate, the more we train our mind and become much more aware. This growing awareness is valuable in all areas of our lives, career, relationships, sports, healing, self-discovery, and more.
Through meditation we learn that we’re more than our thoughts and senses. Silencing the mind enables us to get in touch with what lies underneath and to discover new parts of our being. Our minds are constantly running with no pause button- most people in the world are unaware that they are separate from their mind. We walk around our daily lives constantly reacting to our environment. Meditation helps us slow down. It helps us become more happy, productive, conscious, and strong.
There are thousands of ways to meditate. When you get really good, you can meditate when doing the most mundane tasks like washing the dishes or doing the laundry. I will share with you.
There are many ways to meditate. The practice I’m apart of focuses on chakra meditation, raising kundalini. Other ways to meditate include using a mantra (such as Aum), a yantra (a visual meditation tool) or other ways of visually focusing one’s attention on an object such a flame or flower, to name a few. Ultimately, whatever meditation technique works to stop thought is the best way to meditate. What works best for you may change from time to time, so it’s helpful to know more than one way to mediate.
“Meditation is a process of expanding your awareness. When you meditate, you get in touch with the deepest part of yourself. You know from your own point of view what’s right, what’s wrong, what you should do and shouldn’t in any situation. Meditation makes you tough, makes you strong, conscious, happy, and eventually, enlightened. Meditation is a process of silencing your thoughts.” Dr. Frederick Lenz, Rama

How to Meditate
“Never before have you had so many reasons to
celebrate yourself! You are immortal. You are infinite. You are mortal. You are finite. By celebrating yourself, you commence your education in the eternal schools of consciousness and becoming.”
Dr. Frederick Lenz, Rama
The best way to get into a groove is to set up a schedule for yourself and try your best to be consistent. Meditate twice a day if you can, but once a day is good to start. Meditating at night will help clear away the thoughts, impressions, stress, or other negative energy you pick up during the day and help you sleep better. Meditating in the morning is also wonderful because we pick up a lot of energy in our dreams- clearing this away first thing in the morning and starting you day off with by generating balanced energy will set your day up for more power and clarity. For morning meditations, try not to use your phone or computer beforehand. If you’d like, make yourself some tea or coffee but try to have as minimal distractions as possible. It’s best to meditate as soon as you wake up because you will have a calmer mind and will lend to a stronger meditation. You’ll also want to take a shower or at least wash your face- both of these will help clear away energy that you pick up from dreaming and also wake you up. Meditating in the morning helps you pick up a lot of energy, focus and awareness that will set your day up powerfully. It brightens your subtle physical body which helps give you clarity, focus, and helps buffer off negative energy. Your mind is more clear and receptive in the morning, and sets you up for having a very sharp and aware state of consciousness. Meditating at sunset is wonderful- there is a dimensional shift between the day and night and as you become more sensitive you will begin to clearly feel this. Any time at night is great though.
There are many styles of meditation. The one explained in this site is focused on 3 main energy points, or chakras. We move our awareness from the lower chakras up to the higher chakras throughout the meditation to raise our kundalini. In the beginning you may not feel these or be able to focus your awareness, that’s okay. It helps to physically hold a finger on these locations until you build up your sensitivity and focus. Physically touching the spot will bring awareness to the location and where awareness goes, energy flows.
The main energy points are:
Navel – Located just below your belly button. This corresponds to our power, will power.
Heart– Located in the center of your chest. If you take your finger and touch yourself as you’re saying “Me”, you will land on the location. This energy center corresponds to balance, compassion, love of self and others.
Third Eye– Located in between your eyebrows. This energy center corresponds to wisdom, knowledge and second sight.
Tips for a strong meditation
Don’t eat too much:
Avoid eating much before you meditate. Your body will feel heavy. It’s like eating a lot before you exercise. The energy in your body goes straight to your stomach to begin breaking down your food.
Shower:
Shower or wash your face. This will help clear away energy from the dream plane (if you’re meditating in the morning) and energy that’s picked up throughout the day (if you’re meditating at night).
Disconnect phone:
Disconnect your phone before you meditate- everyone always seems to call you when you start to mediate. Put on music and listen.
Dismiss thoughts:
When thoughts come in and out of your mind, ignore them
Ignore experiences:
If you have experiences, see light, colors, sensations of lightness, visions, etc don’t worry about it. Just ignore it. Experiences come and go within meditation let them go and let them come.
Don’t judge:
Never judge your meditation before, during, or after.
MEDITATION AID
Meditation Music
Meditating can be challenging for a variety of reasons. Living or working in a crowded city for example, you’re constantly in the mental and energetic space of thousands of others. You’re constantly receiving impressions from sounds, conversations, advertisements, and the emotional state of others to name a few. It becomes difficult to distinguish what are really your thoughts and feelings or what is being impressed on you. It becomes difficult to quiet the mind when you have a moment to rest.
To make it easier, we’ve provided music on this site that can be used specifically to meditate. The music creates somewhat of a blanket to help form a cloak from outside distractions and keep your awareness within high dimensions. Our minds are also familiar with tuning into sounds, so the sound of music is a very effective way to keep it focused and push away thoughts as they come up.
You’ll notice that the energy of this music is very high. Many people have the notion that meditation music is meant to be relaxing and soothing. Since meditation is a mental exercise, the music provided here is meant to keep your attention alert and focused.
There are two albums, each with 15 songs, about four minutes each. One album focus on morning meditations, the other is for the evening. Another great reason to use music for meditating is that you can easily time your sessions. 15 minutes is perfect to get started with your practice, and then build up over time to 30 mins, 45 mins, and up to an hour or even more as you feel comfortable.
We focus on 3 energy centers for this meditation style. For more information on this, read How to Get Started. If you do about 15 minutes this will be 3 songs. Start with your navel chakra and shift your focus to the heart and then third eye for each song transition.
