& Happiness
Meditation should always be practiced with love.
“Meditation is the short path to happiness. It is the way to become completely happy. It streamlines the process. It takes you beyond the desire-aversion operating system that offers very limited happiness and a great deal of frustration. As you practice meditation, it’s no good to talk about it but you need to do it, if you can bring an earnestness to your meditation, if you can really try, in other words, you will find that happiness is something that will run through your life constantly.”
Dr. Frederick Lenz, Rama
About HAPPINESS
Happiness
“If we really come down to it, what is the purpose of life? To be happy. What else could it be? And happiness does not come from other people. It doesn’t come from places. It doesn’t come from things. It’s inside your own mind. All happiness is inside your own mind.”

How to be happy
Grow, develop, and always be optimistic. Always be positive. Ignore those who aren’t because they are obviously confused and out of touch with the light, with themselves.
We are miracles. So don’t deny yourself the miracle of happiness. Life is not a malfunction, it’s beautiful. If you find yourself seeing it that way, you just have some cleaning to do.
Many people have no idea how unhappy they are because they don’t know what real happiness is. When there is a small break from their total pain, they feel better and call it happiness.
Life is happiness. Just to see and experience life is happy. You don’t have to do anything, you don’t have to add anything. Happiness comes from living in the moment, this moment, now, right here. If you’re walking around in obscure states of mind, you won’t see what this moment is. You won’t realize its beauty.
No one can give you happiness. How can they give you what you already have? You have to get it yourself, inside your mind. Things occupy us, people occupy us, but they don’t make us happy. If we’re honest, what makes us happy is to experience spirit. If we were to attribute happiness to things outside of us, we are bound to eventually be unhappy and become a slave to the thing that makes us happy.
Loneliness is a feeling that is created by our ego. The ego feels separate from the rest of creation. The answer to overcoming those feelings is ecstasy. Ecstasy should not be viewed an unusual experience, but rather a natural experience, feeling all the living matrix of existence around us.
Wanting to be happy isn’t how you get to be happy, because if you want to be happy you’re going to be sitting around being unhappy because you’re not happy. You don’t need to do anything to be happy, nor do you have to avoid anything. Happiness comes from within your mind. Happiness already exists. Stop trying to do the things that will make you happy. Happiness is a state of mind; because otherwise, you are a slave to circumstance.
Just to exist, just to be, to take a breath, to feel that, whether it’s pleasure or pain, loss or gain, just your experience is unique to you. No one sees life like you do.
Happiness is found principally in meditation. Meditation speeds up your vibration, expands your awareness field, deepens your intelligence and deep understanding of your being and the universe.
People are unhappy because they don’t understand life; by happy, I mean complete, aware, conscious, poignant, loving, unaffected, cosmic, simplistic, humble excited, passive, everything. You are everything! Happiness is just being you, where you are right now. Allow yourself to be you. Shut off all the silly thoughts and desires and crazy emotions. There is a crazy world around you and you can’t control it, so don’t even try. The more you try to control your environment, the more it controls you. You cannot expect the world to settle down, everything to work out, in order for you to be happy. You have to get control of your mind. Happiness does not mean that everything works out, but you get a kick out of it anyway. Happiness is not dependent upon outer circumstance, it’s falling in love with everything around you, everything inside of you.
Happiness is a state of mind. The key to happiness is being able to disconnect life perception. If we were to see things as they really were, we would be happy automatically.
Happiness is self-generated as the mind becomes still. As we become involved with the desires of the world, we lose that centering, that stillness. What we focus on we become. If you are just focusing on unhappy things, you will become unhappy. If you focus on happy states of mind, then it will grow in you.
Learn to be happy in any and all circumstances, whether you’re experiencing pleasure or pain, whether there’s loss or gain, whether the world loves you or hates you. Learn to be happy. Even sickness becomes an experience that we pass through in happiness because our happiness is not dependent on how our body feels, but how our spirit feels. Life should be continually brighter.
